Rev. Samuel Ling - Senior PastorRev. Ling

I am very blessed to be born of Christian parents and grew up in a devout Christian family. At the age of seventeen I made an open profession of faith through Baptism to follow Christ. Upon completion of the first year in college, I sensed God’s calling to the pastorate, but I waited and prayed for further guidance and affirmation from the Lord. In the mean time, I continued to equip myself through avid reading in theology, serving in church ministries, graduate education and working experience. With an ever deepening sense of divine calling, I submitted to God’s call in 1988 and received theological education, with a deep conviction of the importance of soul-winning and pastoral care. My pastoral experience over the years has helped to confirm this conviction.

God has blessed me with a strongly supportive family in my endeavor to serve God and His people. Through the years my wife and I serve together as a ministry team. She has served in a variety of capacities including music, teaching, and care-giving. She is sociable and friendly, and is especially gifted in care-giving and hospitality. As my children grow up, they all serve the Lord through various ministries in the church.

My understanding and belief about the pastorate is founded upon the Biblical teaching of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 19-20), Ephesians 4:11-13, II Timothy 2:15, 4:2, and I Peter 5:2-4. As God’s servant actively engaged in furthering His Kingdom, I serve the fellow children of our Heavenly Father by: solid Biblical preaching, sincere pastoral care, committed discipleship, user-friendly administration, servanthood leadership, bold evangelism, and genuine friendship.
